One of the greatest features of downtown Colorado Springs is how much is within close walking distance. These groomsmen had gotten ready at the Mining Exchange earlier that morning, and with a brief stroll we discovered this exciting mural. For a morning wedding, these groomsmen did a really good job of actually getting going and getting ready. We were already out doing photos before the sun had cleared many of the buildings. You can see the sunrise just piercing the top of the photo where the horses are running in front of the sun. Symbolism? Perhaps, I just thought it was great timing. The Mining Exchange was a wonderful venue for the wedding, and with a smaller crowd it was the perfect atmosphere. The alley beside the Mining Exchange has a playful alley theme complete with small street lamps, couches and painted signs. The isle was long as the bride joined her groom at the metal gate. It was a good thing that we had gotten all our groomsmen photos done early as the sun inched higher and higher the shadows crept away and made for harsh midday light. The bride's maids also had time to get photos done early, and the great gate made for some very cool shots.
